The Staunch Hero
And there he stood
With a dauntless glare
His fists at vigil
Be there a devil’s snare
But this staunch hero
Will not the villains match
Their dismal potency
He’ll quickly dispatch
Childhood
As a child
I cared not how my garments were threaded
Or to what length
My hair might be snipped
With happiness for a companion
My time
In wonder was spent
