I came to an enclosure
of childhood dreams
and there recalled my craft
Drawn onward was I
to a similar place
of innocent times long past
What then seemed distant
a land far off
to my feet drew nigh in moments
A new path I forged
to the dwindling pool
where birds around made chorus
The encircling trees
their eaves do sway
from trunks steadfast in Earth
This place of dear childhood
long absent from steps
anew it sang hope’s birth
