In roaming down a sunny trail
or sitting neath a tree

lying in the forest leaves
or buzzing with a bee

breathing in the morning dew
or shouting out with glee

this miracle world
or myriad things
with wonder, I do see

Treacherous my steps can be
they fall with mindful care

The naked soles beneath my feet
skirt-round each sighted snare

Down rocky creeks
or mountain paths
I seek out phenoms rare

Each seedling gained
through risk of pain
is worth my every hair
